A replica of the Trevi Fountain, in Rome, is a focus of the San Rocco Festa. "Three coins in the Fountain," as you remember. Above, two of the festa participants wear miters.

Tent tables at festa
The tent tables were filled; in fact, additional tables had to be set up outside the tent.

Under the tent
It's like a restaurant: if you see a lot of people there, there must be something good going on.

At the 2001 San Rocco Festa and in the following years, a fiberglass duplicate of the Trevi fountain in Rome was made available by John Bucci.  In this annual festival, lasting perhaps three days, there is usually a carnival, plenty of food, concerts, singing, bingo, and even a little religion.  We have Vespers or Mass in honor of St. Rocco.  On Sunday morning, Mass would be celebrated; on other days or on Sunday evening, Vespers.

Noonan Academy
Children participate, from the Noonan Academy in Mokena. They are directed by Mary Kay Pignotti.

More of Noonan Academy
Noonan Academy is a grade school, in the Catholic tradition, located in the Joliet Diocese.
